The EMAb ELISA is intended for use in the detection of Anti-Endometrial Antibodies to in human serum. Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease, which often leads to infertility, infertility rate is as high as 30-40%. Studies have shown that the incidence of endometriosis is related to autoimmune disease, the patient is often accompanied by a series of changes in immune function. High titer EMAb can often be detected in patient’s serum, peritoneal fluid, endometrial tissue, so it is considered as a sensitive indicator in clinically diagnosis.
Summary and Explanation
Purified antigen of endometrial is coated on the surface of microwells. Patient serum is added to the wells, and the EMAb, if present, binds to the antigen during incubation. After washing the wells to remove unbounded sample, antibody to human conjugated with HRP is added. Unbounded conjugate is removed by a subsequent washing step. A solution of TMB Reagent is then added to the microwells. The enzyme conjugate catalytic reaction is stopped at a specific time.
