The AoAb ELISA is intended for use in the detection of Anti-ovarian Antibodies in human serum. Anti-ovarian antibody usually appears in the serum of premature aging women, in patients with infertility and abortion, its positive rate (42.4-52.2%) is significantly higher than the positive rate of normal pregnant women (3.2%), indicating that the existence of AoAb is closely related to infertility and abortion.
Summary and Explanation
Purified antigen of ovarian is coated on the surface of microwells. Patient serum is added to the wells, and the AoAb, if present, binds to the antigen during incubation. After washing the wells to remove unbounded sample, antibody to human conjugated with HRP is added. Unbounded conjugate is removed by a subsequent washing step. A solution of TMB Reagent is then added to the microwells. The enzyme conjugate catalytic reaction is stopped at a specific time. The intensity of the color generated is proportional to the amount of AoAb in the sample.
